Independent School Registration Workhop

If you’ve decided to register an independent school and want to understand the process, our Independent School Registration Workshop is the perfect starting point.

Led by experienced consultant Ellen Mukwewa, this session walks you through the application process, the Independent School Standards, and the pre-registration inspection. We’ll also highlight common pitfalls to avoid and provide plenty of time for your questions, helping you feel confident and prepared every step of the way.

Premises Inspection
 

If you are still in the process of selecting a site for your new school, we offer a shortlisting template to facilitate the evaluation of potential buildings.  We also conduct premises inspections to ensure that your chosen premises meet the relevant independent school standards.

If you are an alternative provider with existing premises, please do not assume that your building complies with the Independent School Standards. We provide a compliance-focused inspection to identify any potential issues prior to registration. 

Pre-registration Audit
 

If you’ve already submitted your DfE application, secured your premises, and gathered your documentation, our Pre-Registration Audit is designed to ensure you're fully prepared for Ofsted’s Pre-Registration inspection.

We'll guide you through each requirement, helping you identify any gaps and address them proactively. You can also make use of our specialist resources, including our comprehensive Pre-Registration Checklist, to support your final preparations.

This comprehensive package includes all the services outlined to the left, along with additional support to guide you through every stage of the process. We will ensure your premises meet regulatory requirements, assist in compiling the necessary documentation for your Department for Education (DfE) application and Ofsted pre-registration inspection, and conduct a thorough pre-registration audit. In addition, we provide two targeted training workshops designed to deepen your understanding of compliance and inspection frameworks within the independent school sector, ensuring you are fully prepared for your first standard inspection within the first year of opening.
